Re: Picasso throttle cable
It depends on your model - some are fly by wire - with an electric potentiometer incorporated into the accelerator pedal or you may have the version with a cable. To check which you have, send a private message with your VIN.

Re: Picasso throttle cable
Ok, I've had your PM with the VIN - and it is the cable version.
The replacement part for cars over 3 years old is: E074600 - and is £30.85 from Citroen if you need to replace it.
Having said that, they also made a modification to this with a kit to replace it with an electronic pedal. It requires fitting the brackets, cable routing and some electrical wiring modifications and removal of the old sensors etc.
But the cable would still seem to be available.

Re: Picasso throttle cable
You need to be careful because if you take too much slack out it will affect the running as the idle settings are different when hot / cold.
There's a little more on it here:

Re: Picasso throttle cable
This picture below is related to doing the modification I mentioned - but it would indicate that the control cable is routed in / under / along the scuttle area: (a) being the location of the control cable.

Re: Picasso throttle cable
It’s a very good bet the cable has become too loose. The pedal should not be that low down.
If you can get someone else to operate the pedal it might help you locate it easier and find the adjustment thread. Do a little at a time until it returns to normal but don’t over adjust it.
