C5 mk 1 parking sensor control module.
Err where is it?
according to bol it's behind the r/h luggage panel but there's nothing there. If I start in park and move to reverse or d I get a beep beep every second or two. If I start in neutral and move to d then no beeps. The reverse sensors have always played up so think it might be associated. No warning messages, lights, nothing just bloody beeping. I though if I could unplug and try it, it might just prove if that's the prob. Got half the car stripped out now!

It's in the boot, rear driver's side, usually to the right of the spare wheel, mounted on the body - on the Mark I it may be behind the trim fabric though:

Found it by the spare wheel thanks Marc. Disconnected the sensors but still got the bleeping beep! So now I'm wondering does there need to be a resistance to register. I'm going to dig the laptop out.

Re: C5 mk 1 parking sensor control module.
It only takes one sensor to be faulty (usually water ingress) for the whole system to go on the blink - a safety issue -all or nothing! Lexia should be able to determine which if any are faulty though.

Re: C5 mk 1 parking sensor control module.
I did a Lexia session and the parking sensors read ok with no faults. There were a few other faults though but I erased most of them. Not being an expert I wanted to look at the engine parameters which I presume is done with Scantool. I got connected but it couldn't read anything but I'm not sure if that was down to me. Please see pics later.

Parameters are within the Lexia program, Dave.
My method (there may be a more efficient method I'm not aware of) is to choose the relevant ECU, scan for codes then clear them. Once that's done, the parameters sub-menu becomes available.

Some phone pics, they may appear sideways but I was the right way up at the time!
Also can I add a video file to this?

I'm not much further Dave, still a complete novice. I didn't know the scantool is supposed to work, it hasn't for me.
You can embed a youtube, is all I know.

We don't currently have a facility for uploading videos, so you must host it elsewhere, but youtube is a good choice.

Sussed it, I now have a silent car.
So here's a little tip for everyone, if you have a dashcam make sure you remember to replace the memory card when you remove it!

Re: C5 mk 1 parking sensor control module.
The words 'Top' and 'Hat' come to mind! I thought that doesn't sound like a parking sensor beep - but I never had this on my Mark I so didn't comment!
