Xantia Rear screen and heater fan not working help

Hi it's a MK1 xantia. Both heater fans and rear heated screen stopped working same time , I read some old posts with old links, I've got it down to a faulty ignition switch , if I wiggle the keys I can get the fan to work. I'm wondering on the easiest a-team method of fixation
I love my lowish millage xantia but let's be honest its never guna worth any money so the a-team fix will do !

You need to do the relay mod on the ignition as this was a problem with the Mk 1's.

It is actually really simple and easy, can't be too many X1 running around without the relay mod already done. Strangely, we seem to have ended up with two of them showing no sign of it needing to be done yet... Because French electrics

It may be sensitive to the weight of keys dangling from it.
You would think some folks were jailers with all the keys they cart around.
