Looks like a crank breaker pipe to me....I would just put a joiner pipe into it

I recall that Michel had a similar pipe fail on his 307. When he tried to remove it (to repair it) it snapped a couple of more times!

Check for brittleness, then do a joiner. Worth a try.

This was the problem Michel had, and the pipes look like they are made of similar materials;

Some black electrical flexi-conduit could turn out to be tougher, so long as it's not the stuff PSA use!

I got away with a repair on my Xantia with the same issue. At 21 years old and with the V6 heat I reckon if I got away with it you have a decent chance. I filled the external grooves with silicon and sheathed it with suitably sized fuel hose.

Yes if you use an adhesive or sealer like I did.
I sprayed mine a few times with contact cleaner.
Probably not the ideal solvent but I didn't want to brush or touch the pipe for fear of it disintegrating.

If the pipe is that delicate, the affected section should be replaced,
The only way to find out is to handle/flex it.
You may be able to splice in just a new section of that lengthy pipe.

Uh-oh, that way madness lies.

That's what I used, attached / reinforced with heatshrink.
