The following gives guidance on how to remove the door trim to access and remove the winder mechanism. I haven't shown how to rewind new cables onto the old mechanism as the existing mechanism was showing signs of wear, so I elected to buy a new winder mechanism minus winder motor, and transfer the old motor to the new mechanism. It should be possible to buy a similar kit for £40-£50.
Tools needed:
T30 Torx bit - ideally a long Torx bit or on a short extension bar.
Stanley knife blade or scalpel.
Drill and approx 5.5mm drill bit.
4x rivets approx 5mmx15mm (or nut and bolts to suit).
Non marking trim removal tools.
Gaffer tape or similar.
First remove the door handle trim, unclip from the front first

Prise out the window control in the armrest, and unclip the elctrical connectors, and remove the puddle light (if fitted) and disconnect.

Once you've removed the trim and recovered the broken clips from the bottom of the door frame, you should be left with the white insulation / weatherproofing sheet attached to the door frame.

The speaker needs to be removed to access one of the lower winder securing screws. Drill out the four rivet heads that secure the speaker. There's no need to unscrew the speaker from it's mount. Keep the large flat pieces of the rivet heads - these can be re-used later. Move the speaker to one side. Remove the remnants of the rivets still left in the door. It may be useful to cut them back with a pair of pincers before tapping the remnants through.
Position the glass so you can access the two screws which secure the bottom of the glass to the winder mechanism. Undo and remove the two screws. (Rear one shown)

Undo the six screws securing the mechanism to the door frame. Two of the screws are located behind foam covers at the top of the door. One of these is behind the door handle - which should be slid backwards to unclip it from the door. Carefully cut and peel the foam adhesive away from the door to access the screws. Two of the screws are near the motor, the last two secure the botom of the mechanism frame - one being behind where the speaker was. There'll be an additional clip to remove (roughly in the centre of the door) that secures one of the mechanism cables to the door frame.
Manoeuvre the mechanism and frame out of the door.

Once the frame is back in, the speaker can be riveted (or bolted) back. Re-use the old large rivet heads if you don't have any large headed rivets to hand.
VERY CAREFULLY lower the glass back down to its mounting points and refit the two screws - it'll want to slide out of its runners if you're not careful.
Refit the (top) door handle.
Firmly re-attach the white insuation / weatherproofing sheet.
Replace any broken door trim clips and re-attach the door trim to the door.
Re-assemble the rest of the trim and the grab handle.
The window winder mechanism will need to be re-initialised:
Raise the window using the switch to its fully closed position. Hold the switch in the 'up' position for 5-10 seconds. Lower the window fully. Raise the window fully using the 'automatic' function. Check the anti-pinch works.
