You dont have traction control on c5s its ESP .. Electronic Stability Control. Its a brakeing control rather then a power delivery control...

On my C5 that hole to the right of the gear lever is for a cigarette lighter. It sounds like the lighter itself is missing.

It's an item only fitted to some models, I doubt you have it on your car.

If you do have it it will have a deactivation button near the gear lever in the position directly opposite to the cigar lighter, activation is automatic when you switch on the ignition.

ESP might be nice to have, but I hope you wouldn't be relying on it. Those of us who have been driving two or more decades never had it when we first started driving (and, to date, I've not yet regretted not having it)

Is it something like Cruise control? I mean I had no cruise control in my SX model, but I bought the switch then I enabled via Lexia and it works like charm. I also see ESP on the accessory list on Lexia. Is it came alive if I enable it?
Cheers

No, don't change anything here, or you could interfere with the correct operation of the vehicle.

You simply don't have the necessary equipment on your car. Your model does have ABS, EBA (Emergency Brake Assist) and EBD (Emergency Brakeforce Distribution) which all help to stop the car quickly and safely.

I have seen my ESP come on when accelerating quickly from a wet junction and the inside wheel started to spin

Mark IIs with ESP have the button to temporarily disable the system (for extra wheel spin to help regain traction when icy or on deep mud at start off for example) bit it will automatically re-enable itself at about 30MPH / 50 KMH.
