Quick Xantia airbag Q

If I replace the failed component, ie the seatbelt pretensioner, will the bloody light go out on its own ? or will the fault need to be cleared using electrickery ? TIA
BXs since 1993 built 1.9 TZD turbo, got a S2 Xantia estate, brilliant car! 2013, Xantia HDI LX 110 2000 new car with 122,000, l C2 HDI Rusty rocket, C3 Picasso HDI new to me.

When I replaced the faulty side airbag ECU the next time I started the Xantia the light went out after the normal test period.

Are you sure it's the pre-tensioner, they don't usually give trouble....
