C5 Spheres etc

Post by 2cvman »

Hi,

Can you fit BX/Xantia spheres to a C5?
Has anybody tried it?

I understand Bx/Xantia spheres can be re-gassed?

Cheers

Don't know if anyone has tried to, but no, you can't/shouldn't.

As others have said the fluid is different and hence the internal components and seals are not compatible.

Although it is possible to re-gas some LHM spheres, that's partly the point... They do leak off over time and so they need to be recharged.
The spheres in a C5 don't (well not to anything like the same degree) so even if you could fit them, it would be a false economy to fit LHM spheres to an LDS car.

Hi,
Thanks for replies.

Want to run C5 spheres at a lower pressure, but not in a C5.

Anybody taken the "nipple" out of a C5 sphere?

cheers
