when you put it in 5th gear you are trying to move the car - even the engine cant move the car from standstill in 5th gear - you have no chance with your spanner

as long as you followed the proper procedure and can turn the engine over a few times with nothing stopping it your going to have to be brave and start it 8-[

when in gear you are turning the gearbox

dont put it in gear and turn the engine over by hand to make sure the pistons dont hit the valves ?

whats your main language?

If you are turning the engine over using a spanner, surely the car needs to be in neutral . (not in gear).( Presume you are trying to turn the shaft through a complete revolution to check clearance.)

I use a spanner on the crankshaft pulley and rotate the engine and it turns freely in neutral gear. But in the 5th gear the engine blocked.
