Synergie blowing cold

Post by citronut »

my daughters Synergie (the lorry )

a week or so back she said the drivers side was blowing stone cold whilst the passengers side was still blowing hot,
now passengers side is blowing virtually cold all but the slightest hint of warm,

it dose have two blowers one each side,
Regards, malcolm.

Sorry Malcolm, this is probably not going to help but I am known to ramble on about things I only think I know about.

I used to drive a synergie at work and I can't remember it having dual heat control. Maybe a different or older model. Are you sure it has two blowers?
At home we have a Pug 807 (C8) which was the new version of the synergie and it has three blowers, only one blower does both the front vents. (Getting to the main blower when it packed up was a challenge) The heat distribution to either side is done using motorised flaps.

i hope they are not getting that hot i can "see" how hot they are

it seems it is not dual zone, so why two fans, and why did the drivers side go stone cold whilst the other side was still up to full temperature,
and now the passengers side is all but cold with just the faintest of warmth coming out the vents

i had a look at the Lorry (Synergie ) today, both heater hose's get hot, and the end of the matrix is hot,

pluged the DIS-LEXIA ( 30pin plug ) up it but no dialogue what so ever even on a global scan,
so were/which is the diagnostic socket fuse???

and dose anyone know the layout/which/what flap motors do what and were they are situated
