im going to fit a towbar and a 13 pin socket. ive seen on ebay a relay that is to be used with a multiplex system for the lighting. am i right in thinking the split charger is just a standard system and is there anything else i should know about.
im hopeing to get the ecu remapped this weekend to get the low end pulling power sorted

Re: c5 fitting towbar
I fitted a towbar to my C5 back in 2005 but used a 12N and a 12S socket. I also used Towsure's Smart7 for the road lights and a Smartcom for fridge and battery charging. To ensure good fridge performance you need wiring of at least 2mm². I used two 17amp wires directly from the battery with suitable fuses fitted close to the battery. To avoid making holes in the bulkhead, I took the wires down the back of the engine bay, under the car, threading the wires through the fuel conduit. The wires entered through the fuel pump grommet and into the cargo area. The two relays are in one of the 'cupboards' in the boot.
