£8400 is a lot, ive re built a couple and i must say there isnt 8k worth of stuff to it and there certainly isnt 8k worth of precision either, the reason i ask is a trader has advertised one on the xm forum and im tempted, he mentioned its worth £7500 which i thought was a bit of an exaggeration, it seems not!

Thank you very much Malcolm

Aww no, it's got to be worth more than that Mike...

I reckon at least £34... That's not much more than the cost of gaiters... Worth it for the inner ball joints too...

I take it the rack comes complete with arms?

Actually at that price I'd like it to come with a complete brand-new car!

I could have the housing billeted in 6061-T6 or some other alloy, and a new rack machined, ground, hardened etc for well under £8K. It might even allow for a fully billeted pinion valve.
