Re: Xantia clock
ps.
what should happen on turning the ignition off is just the clock back light goes out, but the clock should carry on tick tick tick ticking

Re: Xantia clock
is it mk1 or mk2? i know that on a mk2 you cannot adjust the time unless the ignition is on, so logically it has a switched live feed, if yours is a mk2 i would suspect it's lost it's constant live. (or is dead, like mine that resets itself randomly)

Re: Xantia clock
on a mk1 do you have to have the ignition on to change the time though? if you do the theory could still be correct...
(if not go look in your fuse box as i've a sneaking suspicion that on the mk1 the radio and clock share a feed which could me a misplaced fuse could well be the cause)

Re: Xantia clock
Or...
The shunt is in the 'showroom' position in the fusebox (if it's always done it). This was done at production and delivery time so the clock wouldn't flatten the battery.
Ensure all fuses are in the positions as in this picture... Note the position of the shunt (SH or even HS)#
