I have a few speed senders I've acquired as part of a set job lot from a Cit dealer but cannot
reference them. Part number is 5 MA 95 494 865.
Any ideas?
Cit part number - what does this fit?

Cit part number - what does this fit?
Nothing moves you like a Citroën
Re: Cit part number - what does this fit?
Gearbox speed senders ? I guess you have no idea what model they're from ? I'm sure the Citroen service info I have will list them, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do a reverse search on a part number back to a model...

Xantia, C5 and Xsara all list part number 6160 70 for the speed sender, checking through a few others as well. Are you sure that's the right number of digits ?

Re: Cit part number - what does this fit?
you can do an all families search but you have to switch off the filter,Mandrake wrote: but there doesn't seem to be a way to do a reverse search on a part number back to a model...
5 MA 95 494 865 comes back as no parts found on service citroen
i belive the MA relates to an older citroen part but cant remember which model it relates to
but i know a man who will ( Malcolm Lockwood would/will )

Re: Cit part number - what does this fit?
I searched for speed sensor on most of the models from BX onwards, there are only about 3 or 4 different part numbers across all the models I checked, none with that many digits, so I'm drawing a blank.

Re: Cit part number - what does this fit?
Where are you getting the part number from ? Citroen part numbers are usually only on the bag or box the part comes in , not on the part itself. Most citroen part numbers are only 5 digits but you can get them with longer numbers.

Re: Cit part number - what does this fit?
Just a guess but the MA could mean it's for a MA gearbox, as fitted to TU engines (AX / Saxo etc).

Re: Cit part number - what does this fit?
Hi Andrew, Citroen list it as a speed sensor ( ) but as its an early part number 95 code, it wont appear in the current schedule with Servis Citroen. Lucky to still get some of the 96 codings still showing! That coding 95, is pre Mk2 CX, so might be GSA, Mk1 CX or even DS! No not the new ones!
Mr Malc is right though, that font of all knowledge Citroen part numbers should know, Mr Lockwood of Bradfordabad.
BTW, knock off the 5MA prefix.
