v6 variable inlet manifold testing

Unread post by citrov6 »

Is there a wire or something that can be tested to find out if the flaps for this are working?

No, basically on the ES9J4 as fitted to the Xantia V6 it's a totally passive system relying purely on airflow to work.

The inside of the manifold is a bit of a work of art...

As is the engine :-D

You have probably read this article on the V6 engine, which contains the only details I have seen about the manifold:

That link needs modifying to remove the thingamabob above the e in Citroen as it won't work otherwise. URLs are not permitted to have accented characters in them.

Unfortunately we have a word censor on here that automatically spells any variation of Citroen correctly and uses the accented e... It even does this for web links...

The best way to publish weblinks with the word Citroen in then is to use tinyurl

Sorry, Jim, I did not know this.
However, if you Google "Xantia V6 Australia" the article comes up straight away (at least it does in Firefox)
