Activating cruise control C5

Post by garrydog »

My car is a Citroen C5 2.0 HDI 2004.I have got and fitted the CC stalk , I have bought a Lexia 3, I have tried the Lexia on the car today all working well. On the Lexia the cruise control is switched on in the BSI ( I think )and i can see the C.C switch working on the Lexia ,I have been out and tested the C C but it is not working.
I think that the C C is not turned on in the ECU ,can anyone point me in the right direction to the relevant section on the Lexia to turn the C C on if it is present .
Thanks.

I always end up using trial and error, but I think you will need to go into injection ecu config and tell it the car has cruise

It turns out you only need to enable it in the Injection ECU. I think the trick is that you have to let the car go to sleep after you have done it, i.e. lock it and go have a cup of tea. Come back and it works !!! :)

There are two stages to enabling cruise, in the Injection ECU set 'RVV' to present then go into the BSI and enable cruise.

As you know I am very new to the Lexia ,I had a look this afternoon but in the ECU I could not find RVV ,what I would like to know is the step by step that I need to take in Lexia to find RVV , open lexia -------diagnostics------etc .

Thanks

If you run the diagnostics operation, when the process is complete click on the injection topic, in there go to configuration and you will see a selection for cruise control.

Its a while since I did mine as it was on my previous C5, it took me a while to find it in the menus at first but that is roughly how its done.
