At that price I'd have considered it even if it were an offside one which I don't need.

Should anyone require an offside/drivers side non hydractive strut top I have a very near new spare.

Keep it dommo! Get it coverted when you need it.. Theres no difference between normal and hydractive tops other then the larger pipe fixing.. So all that needs dooing WITH CARE is drill the small hole out to a larger size and tap it out to the size of the larger pipe... They are easy to drill as they are not hardend...

I know its possible ive seen it done and it worked sucessfully.. I cannot remember the drill and tap size just now but will get it.. This then means its good to collect good 3.5 mm tops they can then be used as either with a bit of simple modification...

yep i've had it done, hence i have a perfect set of s2 hydractive strut tops waiting for my activa should the time come

picked up a set of tatty ones from that TCT as well, perfect candidates for refurbishments when i'm ready

I have bought it Dave, not arrived yet though. I had considered drilling and tapping the thread size to be a bit larger, if it were a nearside one I'd have done that long ago however I've effectively got two offside ones so I don't need it drilling out just yet.

are you sure the strut ram is not a diferent diamiter H/A to non H/A were it fits into the strut top,

Nope... I beleve its only v6, 2.1, and activas with the larger struts... All others use the same diameter pistons....

I believe it's only the V6 that has the thicker struts... I'm pretty sure the Activa has the standard ones but not 100% dead sure on the 2.1 and 110 HDi

i also thought i had read somewere the early cars had a diferent size strut shaft that later ones,
