Evening all,
remote key stopped locking the car this avo, lock with the key as normal and will unlck with remote fine, just not lock,
would this be likely to be bateries??

It might be. It's more likely to be the contacts inside the remote.
I can dismantle the Xsara and C5 remote, as if I'm replacing the battery, and clean the circuit board. I don't know whether that's possible with yours though.
Be careful cleaning the springy rubber bit though as it's possible to "clean" the conductive layer off by mistake - just dab it with a cloth.
