'02 110 Hdi, just finally got round to replacing fan after 4 yrs.
old one seized as per normal but is it likely to have blown a fuse somewhere?
so in no order of preference...
is there a separate fuse for this somewhere?
is it worth replacing temp sender, if so, again where am i looking on engine for it?
i tried to get temp up way high but failed even with 25C ambient temp today or so display says.
turned on air-con as well, seem to remember something about these using the rad fan?
fan does work, Heath Robinson wiring to check before final mounting
no joy for switching on fan so let the frustration begin

currently '06 C5 2.0 HDi auto estate Tip run and France trekker - well should be!! occupied currently by '10 Superb DSG 170 elegance- whistles and bells that work
The fan must work when the air conditioning is on.
Wriggle the fuse box out to see the so-called maxi fuses facing the battery.
MF1 at left, 50 Amps, is the fan fuse.
The temperature sensor is likely to be good, otherwise the gauge would read strange and there would be havoc in the functionings of the engine.
The sensor is green, but don’t know where it is on an HDi.
HDi engines are very efficient, and take a very long time to reach the fan switching temperature.
