Do I need a special tool?

Hi
I've purchased the rubber pipe & pad for the strut hydraulic fluid return . it is attached to the strut with a metal clamp. I think that it will be possible to remove the clamp, but since the new pipe comes with a clamp, I would like to ask if there is a need for a special tool to install the clamp or it can be done with pliers and a screwdriver? waiting for your advises.

I suggest flush ground end-cutters; if you are unsure what these are, look up the Google Images - easy to mimic with an old set of pincers (nippers) ground flush on the face.

carpenters pinchers are ideal for this job, or it is possible the use a large pair of electrical side cutters,
