Hi All,
I have been reading romie's thread with interest and I am wondering if he has possibly solved my problem of the rough idle.
In order to checking the stop solenoid,on my Bosch pump the ac3 model. I had to remove the armour. There is a securing/security pin which must be extracted before the armour comes off. This pin is inserted into a bevel in the max fuel screw.
What I noticed was the max fuel screw had moved slightly.
My question is would this have an effect on the rough idle as the car is running okay otherwise.

What kind of 'rough' is it ?
Does it seem to (almost) misfire or is the idle uneven (possibly moving slightly up and down)
In the case of the latter, its almost certainly a tiny air ingress causing it.

I haven't turned the screw yet but was thinking of experimenting with it and I was only going to turn it slightly to see if it had an effect.
The idle is best described as vigorous engine shaking but steady no deviation.
