What is the special trick to removing xantia tank filter.

Hi,

I have tried to remove my Mk2 xantia 1.9TD tank sender unit and it just jamms half way up is there a special way it has to be raised or tilted to remove it please?

should be quite straightforward nige..

a little angling as it comes up is needed though.. almost horizontal for a bit IIRC

If it's anything like in a 306 there will be a rod coming off it with a float on the end which moves on a variable resistor type thing that measures the tank fuel level. So this means you need to bring the sender unit out at a jaunty angle as said by jgra1

This is the problem I reckon thwere is a gremlin hanging on to the end of my sender unit and wont let go...lol

it doesnt want to come out.
