Have you ever changed the fuel filter?

Ah, well that's the most obvious thing ruled out. The next most likely thing is air getting into the fuel supply, check that the filter is screwed together tight, check all the pipe work from the pump back as far as you can go. If it has a Bosch pump check the leak off pipe connections. if that doesnt work, check the filter in the fuel tank.

Well, the next thing I was going to suggest was a blocked fuel tank vent, do you get a 'whoosh' when you undo the cap?

yes it does sometimes if the cap has been on a while i also noticed the pipe after the filter which is clear. has bubbles flooating through on a constant basis.

You are ahead of me :D I would have suggested that you fit a clear section of fuel line. Pump the primer while the engine is running and see if the bubbles stop, if they do, air is getting in after the primer, if not its before.

Changed fuel filter today still no joy still also gettin bubbles. priming the pump with engine running gets rid of bubbles but they come back. as i pump though with enghine not on i ear a slite whistling coming from n.o1 injector might be my next step.

Do you have a bulb type primer or a pump on the filter? If its the latter I would suggest that the diaphragm is leaking.

If pumping stops the bubbles the leak must be between the primer and the pump, even the primer and your section of clear pipe, check all the connections carefully.
