HELP ME WITH MY CENTRAL LOCKING
On my C5 every time I press the key fob to unlock the car the boot pops open and so I have to shut it before getting in! Then when I arrive at my destination I cant open the boot without first locking and then unlocking the car. Have tried sycronising the key fob by removing then replacing the battery, then inserting in and turning on ignition then pressing the lock button - nothing happens, its getting me down! That and the fan keeps coming on but thats another story!

Give it a firm pull, then it will open.Cyprian wrote:My boot lock works OK, but every so often the drivers door stays locked while all the other doors unlock. It does other weird things too, like the rear drivers door will not always open from the inside. I have just accepted it.
Spray the catch with silicon spray, lasts for about six months.

My C5 goes through phases when the boot lid pops open when I unlock the car using the remote. It will also open when I open the front door from the inside but I've not had the problem of it refusing to open until you go through through the remote lock/unlock rigmarole.
The only comfort I can offer is that in my case it only lasts a few days and then behaves itself for a few more months. Has yours done this for a long time or is it a new occurence?
C5s are known to be sensitive to failing batteries but in my case it's been doing it for a few years now!

As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.
