c5 estate rearwindow problem

Unread post by john alexander »

Hi just found a guy on ebay selling a solution to the rear window opening problem on c5 estates , do we have an expert on here who knows how to do it. Think it must bypass HRW circuit. Regards John.

That is the exact fix our C5 estate had done by a local Citroen specialist, much better than buying a new window

Had mine done by the autoelectrician that recharged the aircon, took him 15 minutes while my son's car was being recharged.

Quick update , I've now got the new handle for the window and will also have a look at the possibility of fitting a switch beside the number plate lights thereby missing out a mile of wiring . I bought the new handle as my original one had ben broken by the previous owner. regards john.

HI window now opens , I used the info supplied but the two smaller torx bolts had to be drilled out as the caged nuts had rusted to the bolts (never rains etc). The only thing I changed was I used superglue to stick the wire to the inside of the window, much less obvious. When I figure out how to post pics I will add them. many thanks to simon 99 and den169 . regards John
