Xantia parts in a ZX

Post by citroencurran »

I have to scrap my 95 Xantia 1.9 TD SX. It was enjoyable while it lasted. In the meantime I will be driving a 97 Citroen ZX and was wondering if theres any way I can salvage some of the Xantia parts and transfer them to the ZX before the car is taken away. I was thinking primarily of the Xantia radio and speakers [and any other electrical systems which may be compatible]. Any help / knowledge / tips would be most welcome.

Cheers.

if you are scrapping the XANT can i ask you to remove all the steering columb wireing, the rotary in between the steering wheel and top of the columb, and as much of the loom from the plug conector inside the columb shroud which the rotary plugs into, from there to the radio, and let me know how much you would like foer it including any carridge

I wouldn't have thought that the head unit was compatible, is is a DERV ZX you are transferring to? Im sure a lot of the engine parts would come in useful to keep as spares.

The radio's not compatible.

Well, maybe if you secure it to the dash with some silicone sealant or something....

Remove (carefully) and keep the front door lock buttons. I reckon the ZX uses the same ones, and they are no longer available. Apart from that (and the engine and gearbox if both are TDs) I can't think of anything.

The engine and gearbox are pretty well the same asuming they are both turbo.
