Brigsy, I used a flat file for four years running and all of a sudden they won't wind back anymore so I'm trying to help by linking people to where they can get the correct tool.
lets hope your pistons remain easy to move, otherwise you might actually need this info.

Ive freed off seized calipers with a screwdriver.
The tool would be good but not necessary by all means, For us doing repairs on a budget the cheaper the better. Id rather spend the spare money on a tin of plusgas to soak the piston.
If the piston is seized they will require a full stripdown top keep them in good working order anyway or the piston sticks.

At least we know they are available for anyone who finds it easier with the right tool for the job
I should have added that while you can often muddle through with a substitute it is always best to have the right tool for the job in hand.
ED: The Quote function doesn't appear to be working as it was intended.

For the C5?
Just found this:
Just found this:
I used a 24mm combination spanner and large screwdriver and it was a doddle.
Put the open end of the spanner into two opposing grooves of the piston and with
the screwdriver through the ring end of the spanner, just turn and push gently
at the same time. iirc there's a direction arrow cast into the caliper but if
not, viewed from the driver's seat, left hand caliper is clockwise and r/h
caliper is anti-clockwise.
Only other thing to bear in mind is that the piston grooves need to end up in a
position to engage with the 'lumps' on the back of the pads when the caliper
swings back into position.
