Xantia 2.0 VSX Right Main Beam not working

Unread post by LionheartFM »

Hi all - hope someone can help me.

I have searched forum and found no similar issue so here goes.

My Xantia headlamp is not working. I have tested the current and about 0.2V is getting through. The same result at both fuses. Can someone point me to my next port of call because I am now short on options and MOT looms!

Welcome to the forum Lionheart :D

Let me know the exact model and year of your Xantia and I'll scan the relevant wiring diagrams, harness (loom) diagrams and physical locations for you.

This will be the easiest way to find the source of the problem.

It'll most likely be a corroded and open-circuit wire in the wiring loom that runs across the front of the car under the radiator. It's a well-known source of all manner of electrical problems.

Here are the circuits you'll need. There are three. The first is the schematic circuit diagram

Circuit

The second is the harness diagram.

Harness

And finally, the physical location (of the harnesses) diagram.

Location

The diagrams are big so will take a short while to download.

The lights are Items 2610 and 2615, the fusebox BB10. The loom in question is 10AV and as you can see, it runs under the rad

You may have a problem in the big multi-plug IC01 that hides high up in the drivers side inner wing under the mudshield.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for posting those, Jim. I love factory wiring schematics and promptly saved all three.

Regards, Adam.
