Malcolm,

The HC is only available complete with the mounting bracket - the roll bar clamps and plastic links area available separately. Local scrappers probably the best source if you need one, or maybe Plaeides?

it for a customers car, GSF do the complete unit with H/C a bit cheaper than citroen, i havent thought of trying PLAEIDES, i just thought i had seen a posting on here saying it is posible to purchase the two main components separately

Hi hi, you can definately purchase a height corrector seperately but perhaps not the lever mounting part on its own. If it's just the valve that's busted and the lever assy is fine It would be possible to take a new Height corrector (from any model, CX/BX/GSA) and swap it over on the mounting. The only thing I think might be different is the internal dashpot that seemed stiffer on the Xantia but can't confirm this. Also, a H corrector from previous models will have a ball joint lever whereas the Xantia has a fixed lever. Both unscrew with care and could be swapped.

Plieades claim to modify their correctors so that the damper doesn't clog up. Although the guy I spoke to on the phone couldn't tell me how they acheived this.

Sorry I'm not sure about the link/lever mount alone but there is a brand new in box H Corrector on ebay just now. It's a rear one. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... BS:GB:1123

Hi Malcolm,

Have you tried ringing Martin or Phil at Pleiades?? They do recon height correctors in the cradle but if you ask they may be willing to sell you the cradle alone.

Worth a try as I dont think that the cradle is available as a seperate part from citroen.

Regards
Slim.

Front and rear height corrector cradles are indeed completely different...
