405 Wonky fog lamp switch

Post by demag »

I've noticed over the last month that the warning led on the rear fog lamp switch started glowing.

If I pressed it in and out a few times it would go out.

Now it is on permanent whenever the lights are on but the rear fogs are out.

Checking it yesterday with the sidelights on. If I pressed the rear fog switch the dip beam came on!

Obviously a problem. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Dave.

Its the earth at each rear plug on the rear lights, Best way to fix this is add another earth wire & solder it with a high temperature iron to the main metal body part of the lamp holders.

Once you get the extra wire on attach it to the main earth wire & job done.
