Biggest Wheels on a Citroen ZX?
Can anyone tell me what the larget wheel size in terms of diameter and width it is possible to fit to a Citroen ZX? I have been offered some 17" 205 (width) tsw alloy wheels, but I'm not sure if I can fit them to the ZX. I've currently got standard Aura TD wheels on which are 14" 175 (width).
Thanks

205's will rub on the back arches, my 195x55x15's just clear the lip, can barely get a finger between the tyre and the arch and if you have any wear at all in your torsion bar bushes where your wheels lean in slightly like / \ then every time you go over a big enough bump or have people in the back they will rub like hell.

Yes, depends on offset, and totally agree on the ratio comment
ZX arches are narrow basically if you reduce(or is it increase, I forget) the offset they'll simply rub off the insides instead, and that was with 195's
They're not going to fit, unless you fancy 3 foot spacers or some creative slashing with a grinder [:p]

NiSk,
What I meant was is you fit larger than 195's they will rub on the wheel arch, and even with 195's if your torsion bar bushes are worn they will rub on the inside and when you go over bumps will also rub on the arch as the wheel moves up under the arch.
Basically any bigger than 195 and your gonna have problems of some sort unless its a ZX 16V you've got.

Thanks everyone for the input [:)]. I am aware of a very slight lean on both rear arms on my zx (I can assumme I'll eventually have the same tyre rubbing fun I had on a BX 16valve). I'll probably have the wheels anyway and set them aside for another project. If I do get the wheels I'll offer them up to the car anyway and tell you what happens.
