Anyone have access to rneg firmware update? peugeot 3008 2012 executive

Won't be firmware - likely to be the internal GPS tuner, the GPS aerial connection at the back or the GPS Aerial.

To test, connect a cheap GPS aerial from ebay for a tenner with fakra connector, connect to back of Head Unit, put the aerial on the dash and drive for 10 minutes (this will not work if the car is stationary - the vehicle must be moving to get a satellite lock). If after the drive it is still showing no satellites, then this rules out the aerial as the culprit, which means the head unit is likely toast.

Let me know what your current installed firm is and I will check, but I can tell you that none of the firmware updates for this system relate to this issue.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but thought it better than starting a new topic - would anyone have the R50 firmware? I've seen some links elsewhere but no luck. Just swapped out an RT4 for an RNEG in my C5, nearly impossible to find an RNEG2 in Ireland so went with RNEG and I'll source a USB Box or similar eventually. Bluetooth phone audio is absolutely brutal, mic not terrible but return audio from the phone sounds one legged, almost like there a different active signal summing with the audio from the phone. Could just be a broken unit but I thought it was worth to update firmware a try as I seen in some release notes there are audio fixes.

From looking around this seems to be the fixes in this final release.

Bugs fixed:

• Restarting: beginning of a random calculations in breadcrumb;
• Several bugs in Bluetooth (incompatibility with some phones, Bluetooth pairing loss at the beginning of a phone call, poor sound quality);
• The "unknown" message appears instead of the name of the caller when a call is received;
• Incorrect calculation of radar speed for vehicles with unit speed in miles;
• Navigation restarts to activate the "Demo Mode" navigation;
• Navigation mode: сursor frozen. Cursor is placed not to the actual vehicle position;
• Estimated time of arrival is incorrect. Estimated time of arrival is underestimated during guidance;
• Random loss of audio settings after starting the engine;
• Sound is lost after starting engine;
• Random sounds after starting the vehicle;
• Yellowing of multifunction display;
• Random loss of date, time and altitude;
• Call History is not visible in the multifunction display."

Thank you- quick enough process actually. The overall audio of my system is much improved. I’ve the Philips hifi system and the tweeters are really difficult to drive, seems to have given a bit better treble. Otherwise nothing to report, I’ll eventually get around to uploading maps and I’ll try the nav and report back. As for Bluetooth- definitely a marked improvement, however audio is now muffled. Very odd but perhaps just a bad Bluetooth circuit. Thanks for the firmware!

I have seen links for updates to maps originally provided for VW and BMW vehicles but I have no knowledge of how successful they are and certainly couldn't provide any help if things go wrong.
