Xantia clutch replacement by dropping end of engine down?

Thanks very much for all help guys.
Along with clutch I also replaced all these parts that was suggested in this post along with replacement oil!
Fork release pin came out very easily (thank goodness).

Just to note:
I only needed to pull both drive shafts out of gearbox and tie them back out of the way instead of removing altogether

Superb. Went without a hitch and clutch is now ten times lighter and without any grabbing or juddering. Left knee will survive another few hundred thousand miles.

good to hear its sorted,

although i would think if the O/S CV joint is still attached/fitted to the hub, this would make it very difficult to drift the intermediate bearing out of its housing,

so i would still prefer to remove that one at least

I normally leave the o/s shaft in the hub, it doean't make knocking the intermeadiate bearing out any more difficult, but I always take the n/s shaft right out to give more room. Whatever makes you happy I suppose!

I did have the advantage of being able to do it over two full days, (embarrassed face).
Very low stress with ample tea breaks

Once the drive shaft was clear of the intermediate bearing housing, I did use a ratchet strap hooked to the centre door pillar allowing me to pull the rhs hub and drive shaft a full inch! clear of the diff
