Passed the mot with a couple of advisories.
It's going back on the ramps this weekend and i'm going to partly dismantle the ram and get my micrometer on it.
I'll post any results next week.

Think i've found it

Can these be repaired, i remember someone mentioned a circlip.
The ram is a tight fit.

Anyone.
I'm going to put a rubber o ring into the cup as a shock absorber. See ig that stops the noise.
Also asking in for sale or wanted.
