Ah ok, probably since the leak is gone now the vehicle remains at its set height then. I have diagbox 7.57 installedGiveMeABreak wrote: 25 Aug 2023, 10:03No it won't. If you have put the suspension into the lowest, intermediate or highest setting, the suspension will remain in these positions until you change them back to another setting, or the speed of the vehicle prohibits the selected height - in which case it will return back to normal.Kristian27 wrote: 24 Aug 2023, 20:06 One thing i'm slightly confused about is the fact that the car seems to maintain the last height even when locked, i might be wrong, but isn't the suspension supposed to lower to the stop position when parked, or do i have to manually lower it?
Re the non-communication, Kenny is correct, if you have a higher firmware installed it can inhibit communication with some modules. The firmware can be downgraded with software to a lower version. What software version of Diagbox are you using? For the age of the vehicle it doesn't need to the highest version. Stick it back to 7.57 or 7.58 if it's not at that already.

Ok, so your version of firmware may be causing some issues.
See my table below. If you have the interface checker software you can use it to downgrade the firmware to version 4.3.0 which is known to work fine with the early C5s, whereas some later firmware can cause issues:

so I got the interface checker from easy diagnostics, when applying the 4.3.0 update everything is fine until I start Diagbox, it then changes the version to 4.3.2 without asking or anything.
am I doing something wrong? or can't I use 4.3.0 with Diagbox 7.57?

Re: Leaky suspension ram C5 mk1
Whenever Diagbox is updated, it automatically updates the firmware to the correct version for the software version you are using, unless you explicitly prevent it from doing so.
First see if you have any issues using version 7.57. If so, let me know and I'll dig out the info on how to reverse it if I can find it.
Edit:
Locate the following file:
C:\AWROOT\BIN\LAUNCHER\AP.INI
Locate the line 'MAJ_COM=TRUE' and change it to MAJ_COM=FALSE then save the file. This will prevent any further automatic updates. Reverse it back to TRUE when you need it to update when working on later vehicles.

Just an update. My aforementioned repair using Loctite 5920 silicone sealant is still leak proof after one year and 4000miles.
