Yes those will do - Estate and non H3+, so same as yours, even though it's a MK II.

Is there any markings on this that would tell me wich side it is for? Seller doesnt know

Just checked, mine (Left rear) says Y28 16 his says Y28 18. does this mean it's the wrong side and therefore won't fit ?

Right and left spring cylinders are basically identical.
Only the mounting flange has to be turned and the spring clip moved so that the connections for the hydraulics and the mounting fit.
The only difference is the diameter of the LDS connection and on older vehicles there are 37mm pistons - otherwise 40mm pistons.
If everything else fits, an incorrect piston diameter is the lesser evil.

one last thing, are you able to check what o-ring I need to buy for the hydraulic lines? (the small one at the connection to the ram) i can not for the life of me get the Service box to install properly to check myself.. on my old win7 laptop running win7 7 I just get greeted to the site which for some reason is in French and the vehicle selection doesn't work. meanwhile, on my Win 11 computer, i just get the error
"A technical problem occurred. Please retry to connect later."

got a used ram ordered as well as this seal kit, but the tiny o-ring isn't included. it might very well be perfectly ok but I don't want to risk that with the car disassembled..

The service box often has outdated spare part numbers. The repair instructions/electrical circuit diagrams are OK.

But even in the current PSA service hotline - via the VIN - some of the part numbers for the seal sets for spring cylinders are wrong.

Sometimes the part numbers from the 37mm piston are listed, although the vehicle has 40mm pistons.

The "small" O-ring for the LDS connection line is, in my opinion, only available from Citroen - when removing it, be careful not to lose it and also don't forget the Teflon washer.
It can usually be used several times.

Does anyone know how to completely uninstall the service box without doing a fresh Windows install..?
Tried uninstalling with Revo uninstaller, then ran ccleaner to clear additional registries, and deleted all folders I found relating to servicebox..
still when I try to reinstall it skips the part asking me to put in the license key and fails to install

got it, im hoping it's in good condition, seeing as it's not moving and covered in oil it's most likely in good condition I hope.

Finally figured it out.. when installing service box on a 64-bit system, the two DLLs need to be copied to "Syswow64" and not System32. the program now works even though it didn't ask for the license key

and on my 32-bit windows 7 laptop, I solved it by copying the two DLLs into C:\Program Files\DocBackUpAC\Firebird as well as System32.
IDK what changed since the last time I installed Servicebox.. but I'm just happy it's working for now.
Now onto reinstalling Diagbox on the laptop, wonder what's going to go wrong this time

So i got the Cylinder replaced now, the "hole" was actually not a hole but a pit in the cylinder, i suspect the leak came from the fact the boot had slipped forward a tiny amount.
I couldn't for the life of me get Lexia to communicate with the suspension ecu , just kept getting the error "failed to establish communication with ecu" or something like that (bought the kit from easy diagnostic, so i assume it's "genuine") .
I ended up opening the bleed valve near the rear, worked great and didnt seen to be any pressure at all left.

One thing i'm slightly confused about is the fact that the car seems to maintain the last height even when locked, i might be wrong, but isn't the suspension supposed to lower to the stop position when parked, or do i have to manually lower it?

RE Diagbox, get in touch with Jim at easy diagnostics as It maybe a fault with the module. I had the same problem changed the firmware and all works.

No it won't. If you have put the suspension into the lowest, intermediate or highest setting, the suspension will remain in these positions until you change them back to another setting, or the speed of the vehicle prohibits the selected height - in which case it will return back to normal.

Re the non-communication, Kenny is correct, if you have a higher firmware installed it can inhibit communication with some modules. The firmware can be downgraded with software to a lower version. What software version of Diagbox are you using? For the age of the vehicle it doesn't need to the highest version. Stick it back to 7.57 or 7.58 if it's not at that already.
