On the ES9 I doubt there's room to insert the clamping tool and also because they're verniers, that's not the bit to lock, it's the inner hub that needs locking and that can only be locked with pins..

All you need for the ES9 is five 8mm rods...

No worries, the ES9 is actually deceptively easy to do...

Next time I'm down your way I'll bring the timing kit down and do a demo on your spare engine....

Yesterday changed the auxiliary belt and tensioners on TD. Quite pricey these things... It was squeking and the belt was vibrating. Now wouldn't it be nice if the belt snapped and got pulled into the timing belt

It has happened with quite devastating consequences Xantos so very wise, even though it's not the easiest job in the world...

A loose auxiliary getting tangled up in the cambelt can easily wreck the head...

Changed the front pads on TD, the discs are still OK. Just needed to grind the edge of.

@HansNOR: I don't know why the don't show. I use "tinypic" for uploading. Maybe admins can help...

all the pics came up today, but obviously not the day I posted the pic

I've had a few reboots in between so that might have helped clear things up.
