Well it depends on the quantity of fluid they need. 3 Litres on the aftermarket is anywhere around £115 plus delivery, then there is the labour and of course the resetting of the additive counter. So that's about the rate.

Could you check what spec of fluid/quantity I need please? Is mine a solid bottle or pouch?

You need Powerflex Additive and you have a reservoir not a pouch, so will need a filling kit.

Is that only available through the dealers? Should I inform the garage I'm using that it cannot be anything other than "eolys powerflex" otherwise it could cause problems?

That is the correct fluid.

You can purchase this in 1 to 3 litre containers with or without the filling kit if doing it yourself, but the engine ECU will need to be informed it has been replaced and the additive counter reset, so depends on whether your mechanic has a professional level diagnostic tool and software to do this.

Yes, that's correct, only use Poweflex. That other stuff you linked to in your previous post is not DPF additive fluid.

The plot thickens. I've just checked the quote from the main dealer 1623961680 is the part number on estimate sheet and Google suggests this is eolys "extend" is that different to "powerflex". Has the dealer made an error?

Has Google made an error and said it fits your vehicle 90% yes.

Marc's been spot on for everything else, I'm being cautious as this car seems cursed. On more than one occiaon when I've taken something to be fixed it's either not been fixed/they've replaced a part that wasn't the problem/broken a part on my car resulting in more trips to the garage. better be safe than sorry.

You build date is 14483 (4 July 2016).

You need Powerflex, not Extend, as your vehicle's build date is 14483. Eolys Extend was for certain earlier vehicles and a replacement for INFINEUM F7995.

I can't say it clearer than that, but Powerflex is NOT compatible with Eolys Extend and I quote direct from Citroen:

"CAUTION: It is forbidden to mix INFINEUM F7995 and Rhodia EOLYS POWERFLEX additives together."

So I suggest you get the dealer to read the recommended maintenance document listed under your vehicle and it will clearly state:

What they have told you is basically to use an older additive from older vehicles in a later vehicle designed for the later fluid! I suggest the parts bloke goes back on the training course and you contact the Service Manager as the consequences of mixing these up could shaft the pump.
