I ordered diagbox 7.83 with the Lexia 3 tool.
Can you help me how to configure the matrix display when it arrives? Or is it just following on-screen directions?

No problem, just let me know when you have your kit and everything is installed - but please don't be tempted to go in and change anything without knowing precisely what you are doing or you can create problems which I won't be able to help with if you change something that should not be changed. There is no backup and no 'undo' option....

I am not planning to make any changes whatsoever (car is already chiptuned by previous owner). Just want to swap the monochrome matrix for a color one. Too bad this isn’t just a simple swap… (maybe I should have bought just a used instrument cluster )

I would stick at version 7.62.

When you connect up, select Citroen as the marque and then your model DS4, then it should ask you to connect the VCI and detect the VIN.

Run a Global Test First
Go into the Customer Configuration Menu and look for the relevant menu (these can be different depending on version) - so I can't tell you exactly what you will see.
You need to find the relevant option for the instrument panel if it is there.

These are the settings you need to configure according to the options on your car.

If you change to another display not intended for your vehicle, it may not be compatible - there were a huge number of variants for these vehicles all depending on options and model - but these are the configurable options.

Warning Make sure before you change anything, that you create a printout or screen dump of all the existing parameters and configuration values on each screen as you cannot undo anything - it will need to be changed back to the original value. So write or record everything.

The Instrument Panel Item (2) is replacement part number: 9812834580. Remember only the higher of the 2 mileages of either the BSI or the instrument panel will be set once connected - so be sure if replacing the instrument panel that it is near or below the current mileage of you vehicle as I'm sure you know

I am writing because something has been written about the dashboard.
I have a 2012 C4 b7 hatchback e-hdi, comfort plus package. The dashboard color is only orange.
I dismantled the dashboard and looked for LEDs to replace the inside to change the color. I am not sure if it's good or bad, but The LEDs on the board already have 4 legs, meaning those are RGB LEDs. In this case, the hardware is already ready/built-in, I think this color customization can be done with the software only, but I need guidance on this issue. On which ECU should this process be done? What kind of software should be used? Thanks for your precious thoughts in advance.

I believe these are fixed colours unless there is an option to change the ambience, which I very much doubt for a vehicle of this year! 2012 was likely far too early for this. They can't be changed by software.

I will dismantle again this weekend and look for the buttons for color change(on the left-side ones). Let's check it out because can't find an answer why chose the LED with 4 legs.

Hi Everyone, has been a while but I have finally had an opportunity to dismantle the cluster this weekend. When I disassembled it, there were no tact switches for both side, there were conductive pads and conductive pads were not placed behind the switches on the left side(color changer buttons), unlike the switches on the right side(light dimmer and service button). I tried to change the color semi-disassembled by attaching the pads and buttons on the right side to the left side, but it did not work. I think this feature needs to be activated with software like Diagbox. What do you think? Is it possible? I don't have Lexia, but I have installed Diagbox. Can I just check if there is a menu for that without Lexia?
