I didnt mean for glow plug operation at all i meant for fuel air mix as this changes slightly with outside air temp being such a large range.

Yep, the Outside air temp sensor has nothing to do with fueling or running of the car (did you notice the car running any differently ?).civvie wrote:Wheeler,

It can however effect the operation of the A/C.
The glowplugs use engine temp info from the coolant temp sensor.
The Fueling/running uses info from both the coolant temp sensor & the intake air temp sensor which (as myglaren says) is a part of the MAF sensor, well on the HDi's anyway.
