reading for mixture

Unread post by mrlogik »

I didnt mean for glow plug operation at all i meant for fuel air mix as this changes slightly with outside air temp being such a large range.
Nice one with the dirty contacts in the drivers side electric window switches they are now working perfectly both up and down. :P

Mine has a thermistor in with the MAF that is presumably used to measure the temperature of the incoming air. I can't see mine being any different to the rest.

Yep, the Outside air temp sensor has nothing to do with fueling or running of the car (did you notice the car running any differently ?).
It can however effect the operation of the A/C.
The glowplugs use engine temp info from the coolant temp sensor.
The Fueling/running uses info from both the coolant temp sensor & the intake air temp sensor which (as myglaren says) is a part of the MAF sensor, well on the HDi's anyway.
