Well Taffy, when you do an ECU swap, you will NEED the Body computer to go with it! (IMPORTANT!)

You then have a choice, Lexia to match your exisiting key to the replaced ECU, or get a full matched set, in which you will need to swap your ignition barrell..

Ive got a full set with matching key here im sure.

p0191 is fuel pressure sensor malfuntion
there are other codes for pressure to high/low inconsistant...
gona have a final check of wiring to maf morrow
gona be so gutted if it is ecu
might have to take u up on that paul

Been reading this extensive post with interest, so please excuse the intrusion. I had a similar problem and bought a new battery which improved things only marginally. What really got it going was a new positive battery lead. It is now running on a 7 year old battery that has been sitting unloved in the garage for about 2 years and only recently charged. Have you checked the volt drop from the battery post to the starter motor under load? (volt meter connected across). BTW, am not really expecting it to start readily when it gets to well below 0C, but it starts in one revolution at the moment at 5C. HTH?

on full charge my rpm is 250
prob getting about 50-60 turns out of the batt and i give up
seams to turn over well
this could be even an injector thou really hope mike is coming tommorrow with his lexia or dont know wat im gona do
im half in mind of getting a 1.9lx and swapping the exclu stuff over
without a lexia i cant do nothing ive lernt over the years with the 1.9
love my car so much but shes really breaking me down now...been off the road nr two months and before that another two months!
ive lost loads of work and jobs cause of this

took injector out today and repositioned it so i could see if it was leaking and was no leek or spray...but what i did notice is surely the engine should spin over faster with the lack of compresiion but it didnt....strange?

well having a look at starter motors...few different ones
from what i can see they range from 1.4kw to 1.7kw....mitchibushi seems the best one with four brushs on the motor...was trying to look for some tech info on them but cant find none really...as to the rpm of the motors so i could work out what the rpm should be on cranking with good battery...

well mines a valeo d7r26
stripped it down and cleaned it....brushes are nearly dead but im happy there is a good connection there now
cleaning up the earths ad see wat happens

before swapping out the starter, its possibly worth the old Relay in the circuit mod, for the sake of a tenner in parts, eliminates the tired wires, does allow the starter to run at Full voltage too, worked a treat on my BX (running a Xantia td starter) and on a friends old td sinker xant,
(old starter feed to the relay, new feed form the relay to the starter, power and earth)

so basically run the starter wire to a relay and give its a fresh 12v supply...does it mater what relay to use?
