I recently bought a Xsara TD I was checking through the specifications on some engine oil I was going to use in a future oil change and it made reference to it being suitable for vehicles with a Catalytic coverter.
3 questions do all zsara TD SX have a converter?
Is there any oil I should stay clear of.
How would the engine oil cause damage to the converter unless there was a fault?
Thanks
Xsara Catalytic converter??

Donno if all (or any) UK imported Xsara TD's have cat's.
But I know for sure that any engine oil available "is suitable for engines with catalytic converter", as the converter certainly do not receive any engine oil - unless the engine is entirely crap [:I]
You should choose an engine oil, which states it's suitable for turbodiesel engines.
