Mine failed..... but not in a really bad way so there is some good news for the old girl. What I did get annoyed about is the language they use to say what has failed.

why not say, headlight needs polishing (thanks to you guys I bought 2 sets from Lidl recently). Track rod end needs replacing (finally, been an advisory for 2 years). Link bar from suspension strut to anti roll bar has perished rubber (got that part already for when the spring eventually snaps like the drivers side) and my favourite..... Position lamp... It's a sidelight bulb!!!!!! Why not just say side light bulb has blown!!!??? I also think they should take photos of the defects so people can understand what is wrong, there already taking photos to prove it's getting an MOT, a few more wouldn't hurt.

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

I think 99% of people would not think these are major defects but just things that need repairing soon. Would be funny if they could use the f word when saying things do not work.

Exactly, but it is what it is, I went to this garage because of proximity and a recommendation, the track end certainly isn't that bad, certainly no balding of the tyres, in fact it's the osf that has balding issues. Headlight I can understand, the heatwave turned it yellow but that's an easy fix. I'm just wondering if I put the entire suspension in a 'bag' could it be failed then???? I'm not going to do that but it would be an interesting question for a MOT tester.

That's not such a bad list Ryan, at least you know what's got to be done and that all the important (i.e. expensive) stuff is all good :)
