Turbo screen bolt 1.6hdi

Whats peoples view should you remove the mesh screen on the lower turbo oil feed banjo bolt or keep it in ? Fitting a new oip feed pipe and bolt , seen a video a guy saying it would affect oil pressure for the rest of the engine if removed ?

I'd leave it, why should anyone know better than the engine designers? :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I'm sure I've read that removal of the mesh screen is recommended to reduce the risk of blockage. Wasn't the mesh actually deleted in later years?
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Early 1.6 hdi engines had a reputation for early turbo failure and changing this screen was part of a mod. Have a read of this topic viewtopic.php?t=46915
