C5 X7 Negative Battery Cable

Unread post by ThoreT »

Hello

I'm suspecting the sensor on the negative battery pole is acting up, as I get fluctuating voltage readings when the engine is running (I've tried to clean the connector, voltage measuring on the poles when running is consistent 14,4V)

I went to CatCar Info and entered my VIN-number. The search turned up a bewildering number of different battery cable assembly part numbers. Any idea how I can find the correct one, or will they probably all work?

All the best,

Thore

If you post your VIN, which will be masked from general view, someone with access to the parts system may be able to help :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Have you checked if your car has a smart alternator that varies its voltage. If reading low put on the headlights and rear window heater to give it some load and see if the voltage goes up.
