I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand what you mean by saying, "Remember that you cannot install just one country that you didn't select in any previous installation - you've to reinstall all of the countries you want."

It means you cannot add countries piece by pieces after one installation. Every installation combination replaces entirely the previous installation. You have to install the full combination you want at once.

I would like to meet the person who decided this and ask them what they were thinking.
If you want to update all the countries that came with the car, you would need to run the car for 8 hours (if it would be enough), or you need to lose countries you think you don't need?

I would rather have some slightly out-of-date map than no map at all.

I got my nac upgraded to wave4 by installing version 42.03.33.42 and I could not install maps after that for several month. Now the Peugeot app showed me 2 available updates - version 20 maps which I installed immediately and version 44.06.44.22 nac firmware which says "hardware is not compatible". As I understand I should download version 44.07.33.32 manually and generate a license key via majestic server using uin from my head unit.
Could you please describe the process step-by-step so I could make everything right?

The installation process needs to decrypt and verify the SHA256 checksums of all the files on the USB flash drive, regardless of the number of countries you selected. That is the most time-consuming step. If you select just a few countries, it will finish just a few minutes faster.

@dimonito: The firmware version 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0 that is currently offered (since January) by the official Update software has an expired signing certificate and is impossible to install. In the USB flash drive prepared by the official software, what is the filename of the file in the "\license" folder (should be "license_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_001315031671116172.key")?

I have a factory Wave 3 unit, which I managed to update to version 42 over a year ago, I think. However, the servers still recognized it as a Wave 3. I checked again today, and suddenly my radio is being recognized as a Wave 4, and the update to version 44 is now available for download!
You can also download just the license for version 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0.

The forum software has truncated the key for display and simple copy and paste won't work.

In order to see the full key go through the motions of replying with a quote (click the the quote mark up near the heart icon) and then you can see the key in full to copy.

When you have copied the key simply close the window down or click or tap to go back depending on how you're reading the post.
