J2534 VCI not recognised by Windows DiagBox 7.57

Hi everyone,

I’ve got a J2534 VCI interface that I’m trying to use with DiagBox 7.57, but Windows isn’t recognising it properly.

I’m running Windows 7 32-bit (legitimate installation).

As you can see in the picture, the VCI appears under Other devices with a yellow warning symbol. I’m guessing the correct drivers aren’t installed.

I also tried Interface Checker, but it says:
INIT KO

Does anyone know what drivers and firmware I need to install for this J2534 VCI to work with DiagBox 7.57?

Is there a specific firmware version that needs to be installed/flashed, or a particular driver package I should use?

Any help would be appreciated. I can also post the Hardware IDs from Device Manager if that would help identify the correct driver.

I've tried this but say the same thing happens. But the first time i launched it this popped up.

However the supplier of the VCI hasnt provided me with any firmware or anything.

What happens if you answer Yes on that screen?

It just proceedes to the installation where it then completes seemingly sucessful. If I launch it afterwards again it asks if I would like to uninstall the drivers or repair them.

Do you mean the diagbox version is old? If yes do you think updating it might help?
It does seem like windows is failing to communicate with the device since it doesn't appear in the interface checker.
