Those isolation valves are well known to start leaking from the operating shaft o-rings once they have been disturbed.... If you can easily knock the water off, I would replace with something better!

Thanks Richard but I think I was mistaken as it has remained bone dry since I looked last time. It is possible that I simply didn't dry it when I took the pipe off. I have today refitted the pipe to it with a new olive and fresh PTFE tape so I don't want to disturb that and hopefully it will be beyond my time before it will need looking at again!! The bath was installed in 2009 so the plumbing was fine and only the bath itself has failed. Not surprising when you see how thin it is, had I have been there when it was installed I would probably have rejected it because of that but I wasn't!! :)
