Torque Crankshaft pulley bolt 2.0 bluehdi 180hp

Unread post by Genderen »

Hi,

I'm going to change the timing belt from my peugeot expert 2.0 Blue HDI 180Hp. Does anyone have the correct torque settings for the crankshaft bolt?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Patrick

Tighten to 7daNM then angle tighten 110 Deg is the offical torque. When removing the bolt due to threadlock it can be tight PSA recommend using a heat gun on the bolt to soften the threadlock if it's stuck.

They also state that impact guns should not be used (I personally have used 250NM impact gun most times to remove and fit the bolt with no issues but there is a risk of snapping the bolt) on the Family cars 3 x 2.0 HDI's I normally start with a hot engine then whip the top cover off set timing and pin the cam/crank and loosen the nut while hot so the threadlock is softened then go and have a coffee let it cool down and then start belt change

Just checking= loosening crank pulley bolt whilst timing pins in place?
(To my knowledge that isn't recommended - presumably as puts stress on the pins)
